We’ve all experienced the excitement of moving abroad, into a new job, meeting new friends, going to new places for the first time (I remember how shiny Dubai looked when I first arrived!) That’s why you’re here, living as an expat, isn’t it?
And now you’re just not as ‘into it’ as you used to be and you’re thinking of leaving, maybe even moving back home. The comfort of family and friends, being with the people who ‘get you’, home comforts and cheaper nights out!
Is the grass greener on the other side?
Before you book that flight home and bin all your bikini’s, answer the questions below and check-in with yourself to help find out what it is that is actually dampening the buzz of expat life for you…
Mini check-in quiz
How do you feel right now?
What is it that makes you feel like this?
Why did you move abroad?
Have you achieved what you moved out here to do?
How does this make you feel?
How do you currently look after health and wellbeing?
What actions are you taking to make yourself happy at the moment?
Now take a moment to think about the following question;
What is it that will make your life as an expat healthier and happier?
If you are unable to answer any of the questions it could be that you have stopped listening to what it is you really desire to do with your life.
By investing in some time to find out what it is you really desire from life you can start making choices that will help you get there.
