This smoothie has all the ingredients needed to help aid digestion naturally. The mixture of oats and flaxseed provide an excellent source of nutrition, including plenty of fibre – essential for maintain a healthy gut.
Small handful of ice
Small handful of frozen berries (I used raspberries)
2 tbsp of rolled gluten free oats
1 tbsp of mulled flax seed (if you have flaxseeds grind them first using your blender)
1 tbsp of chia seeds
1 cup of milk, I recommend a wholegrain milk (brown rice milk, oat milk) or nut milk (coconut milk, almond milk) make sure you pick a sugar free version.
1 tbsp of vanilla protein powder (or use a pinch of vanilla powder + a pinch of pink salt)
1 tsp of cinnamon
Topping: crushed walnuts, seed mix, additional sprinkle of cinnamon
Add all ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth. It is quite a thick consistency and can be eaten as a smoothie bowl.
Sprinkle with toppings.
